The Kenyon men’s and women’s golf teams were back in action over the past few weeks. The men competed in the Wabash Invitational and the Tartan Invitational, recording fifth and 13th place, respectively, while the women’ battled in the Tartan Invitational and the Historic Triangle Invitational, finishing in 15th and 14th place.

Men: At the Wabash Invitational, which took place from Oct. 6-7, the Owls finished fifth in a field of 18 teams. Leading the way for Kenyon was Andrew Hahn ’29, who recorded even par in all three rounds to finish 14th overall. Next up for the Owls was Connor Gray ’28, finishing just three strokes behind Hahn and tying for 15th. While Gray struggled to find his rhythm — shooting 1-over and 3-over, respectively, across the first two rounds — he recorded a blistering 3-under par score in round three to make up ground. Adrian Jordan ’27 and Jaiden Koonar ’27 put up strong showings as well, finishing in a tie for 19th and 23rd respectively. Rounding out the pack for Kenyon was Rafael Frias IV ’27, who ended in 27th place and Jonathan Oakes ’27, who finished tied for 28th.

Kenyon couldn’t replicate the previous week’s success as the team traveled to Ligonier, Pennsylvania, for the Tartan Invitational from Oct. 13-14. In a field of 16 teams, the Owls finished 13th. Kenyon’s top finisher was Frias IV, who overcame an 8-over par first round to finish 12-over and record a tie for 29th place. Finishing just behind him was Gray, who carded a 13-over across the three rounds to tie for 34th. To round out the Owls’ lineup, Hahn, Oakes and Jordan recorded ties for 44th, 56th and 64th place, respectively.

Women: After securing a third-place finish in its last tournament, Kenyon couldn’t generate much momentum in its trip to Pennsylvania for the Tartan Invitational, where the Owls finished 15th out of 16 teams. First on the leaderboard for Kenyon was Sasha Belova ’29, whose 17-over par finish was good to tie for 55th place. Next, Camryn Nelson ’29 recorded a tie for 71st (26-over par) while Jane Fanning ’29 came in 73rd (27-over par). Madeline Meimaridis ’29 rounded out the pack with an 84th place finish with a 91-over par score.

At the Historic Triangle Invitational in Williamsburg, Virginia, the Owls improved, finishing in 14th place. Once again, Belova led the way, finishing 15-over par to secure a tie for 43rd place. Fanning came in just behind at 19-over par for 53rd place, while Nelson shot 20-over par for a tie for 57th.

The tournaments marked the end of the fall season for both teams.
