The best decision I’ve ever made was putting my name down on the Collegian’s email list at the involvement fair my freshman year. I had no idea what I was getting myself into — I knew next to nothing about journalism. But one thing about working at the Collegian: You learn fast.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the last four years have gone by. Time flies when you’re having fun, and the Collegian has been my greatest source of joy at Kenyon. I’ve made so many lifelong friends, and serving as editor-in-chief for Volume 153 has truly been an honor and a privilege.

Volume 154, you’re going to do an incredible job. I’m trying my hardest not to get all sappy on you, but I will miss this place and this paper and these people more than words can express. Hey, at least there’s one positive about retirement: Now that I don’t have to edit it, I’ll finally get to solve the crossword!
