- Following the most recent hearing, the BFC allocated $1,621 for Lyceum printing and subscription, $995 for Kenyon College Rugby Club, $1,186 to Blu-Ray Ultimate Frisbee for tournaments, $1,200 for a KSJP guest speaker, $110 for Environmental Campus Organization’s Earth Day event, $2,000 for Fashion in Trend Magazine’s magazine printing and $80 to Kenyon College Medical Experience Designed by Students for pizza. Due to the dwindling funds, the Council also discussed an increasingly stringent approval process when funds are requested. (See page 2.)
- Following KSJP’s request for the Council to endorse a statement calling on the Board of Trustees to disclose all financial records of investment and to divest from all corporations involved in weapons manufacturing in both the United States and abroad, the Council expressed that it would be releasing its own statement. Its statement would echo a similar message about a desire for transparency, but use more neutral language.
The Council will have its next weekly meeting on Sunday in Chalmers 438 at 7 p.m. All students are welcome to attend either in person or remotely.
