On Saturday, Kenyon’s Epsilon Omega chapter of Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta) participated in a St. Jude Walk/Run to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the morning, basked in warm sun and excitement, the sisters of Tri Delta and non-members alike gathered outside the Lowry Center to walk three miles down the Kokosing Gap Trail. At a temperate 82 degrees, the cheerful weather offered the perfect experience for those who came out to support the cause.

During the week leading up to the event, the sisters of Tri Delta tabled in Peirce Hall, sharing a fundraising link to their social media page. In total, Tri Delta raised $3,755. The group’s Director of Philanthropy Cecelia O’Sullivan ’26 explained that sisters signed up for the Walk/Run and then sent donation pages to friends, family, professors and whoever else they thought would donate. “I think it’s really important and also kind of unique with our chapter is that there’s no middleman for everything that’s donated, it is going directly to St. Jude,” O’Sullivan said in an interview with the Collegian.

Member Charlotte Ward ’27 noted how grateful she is to be able to help host this event on campus. “It was my second Walk/Run that I’ve done since joining Tri Delta, and it’s just a really special event to support St. Jude, support our chapter and bring the whole community together,” she said in an interview with the Collegian.

Chapter President Sydney May ’26 also commented on how proud she felt of the funds the chapter raised. “At St. Jude, families never receive a bill for their treatment, travel or food. I am so proud of our organization coming together and dedicating itself to raising awareness for St. Jude,” she wrote in an email to the Collegian.
